With the 20 amp hour batteries I’ve upgraded to, I’m sure it’ll go about 15 miles, maybe more, maybe less. It also depends on the roads and rider weight.

The Ezip comes with a charger and recharges in a few hours. However, on my Ezip, I upgraded to a much better 24 volt BatteryMinder charger.

Yes, they work great. But some pedaling may be required if the battery gets low or if the rider is heavy. The object of an electric bike is to make getting in shape easier.

A 20 ampere/hr AGM would give you approx 24 – 30 miles. At 24 v the AGM battery holds 480 watt-hrs. My figure is based on average consumption being 20 watt-hr/mile. I recommend you use SLA (sealed lead acid) batteries. They can be found at Amazon. Be warned that these will be heavy (26 lbs). Consider a lesser A-Hr rating.

Nice modifications. Love the strobes. I started out with a basic electric model just like you. Since then, I am in the process of modding my electric mongoose. All the standard parts have gone away. My new system is pushing 666 watts at 24 volts, rated 32 amps. My motor can dish out 1000 watts @ 36 volts no problem. I had issues with the Navitas tsp 36v-100 amp peak controller and so I must switch to something suitable. I am still experimenting, taking time to get it perfect.

i meant does it come with the disc front brakes ? plus how much does it weigh ? how tough is it to bike without the motor ON,with the battery in place ? Can I get this bike on the bus considering its weight ? or is it too heavy to be lifted up ? thanks

Hi,

I assume you mean the front disc brake I added. The AVID BB7 front disc brake is nothing short of amazing. It’s stopping power is far beyond the original V-Style brake it used to have. I hightly recommend them for any bike.
