I had to look up the meaning of “niggling”. The build quality of this scooter was much lower than a bike of similar price (albeit you don’t have a motor and all those electrical components). I am pretty sure that the frame or other important parts would have started failing within 12 months of use. I only kept it for 6 months before I sold it.

LOL… yeah sorry. I have an e300 from my niece who got bored with it, but I plan to build my own from scratch someday by learning welding and using parts (wheels, handlebars, etc) from a little kids bike. I have an 85 Honda Rebel motorbike which gets 60mpg, you can get one on ebay for $1000, that may be better for you, and they still make them new even today for about $3500. But I want to design my own electric scooter. Also check out the Tata Nano, 60mpg gas car.

it broke because ur 200 ibs and a big guy and riding on the electric moped. The weight caused stress on the bolts and screws and they eventually broke. im 15 yrs old and 130 ibs so it shouldnt be a problam for me.
